With the growth and expanded activities of the Mindrolling lineage and with many students of the lineage living in different parts of the world, it has become increasingly important to create a central base that could provide clear, accurate and direct communication on all matters concerning the Mindrolling lineage and its activities.

In the spring of 2004, on the tenth day of the second month, Kyabje Mindrolling Trichen Jurme Künzang Wangyal, the 11th Trichen of Mindrolling, gave his blessings to form and establish the Mindrolling International Foundation, under the direction of Mindrolling Jetsün Khandro Rinpoche and Mindrolling Jetsün Dechen Paldrön.

The Mindrolling International Foundation serves as an instrument in realizing the visions and wishes of Kyabje Mindrolling Trichen in furthering the ideals and traditions of the Mindrolling lineage as set forth by its founders the great Chögyal Terdag Lingpa and Lochen Dharmashri.

The Mindrolling International Foundation also oversees the various dharma activities, centers and charitable works and projects that have been established under the direction and guidance of the Mindrolling Ladrang. Mindrolling International and its branch Samten Tse International functions as the official and only recognized base for all activities of the Mindrolling Family.
